ISKCON Dwarka to Host Mango Festival on July 7

ISKCON Dwarka will host a Mango Festival on July 7 at the Sri Sri Rukmini Dwarkadhish Temple in Dwarka, Delhi. This event will feature the offering of 5100 kg of mangoes to Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra, and Goddess Subhadra. The festival is expected to attract 15,000 to 20,000 attendees from across the city.

Following the offering and aarti, the mangoes will be distributed as prasad to all attendees.

A mango-eating contest will also be held, adding to the day’s excitement. The temple will be decorated with a variety of mangoes, and the altar will feature a yellow theme.

Shri Gaur Prabhu, Vice-President of the temple, stated, “Mangoes, known as the king of fruits, are beloved by both children and adults, and are also a favorite of Lord Jagannath. Our annual Mango Festival coincides with the Jagannath Yatra, providing an opportunity for devotees to enjoy a wide range of high-quality mangoes.”

The festival will showcase various mango varieties, including Safeda, Dasheri, Langda, Maldah, Chausa, Ramkela, Totapuri, Bombay Green, Mallika, Amrapali, Golia, Sindoori, Gulabkhas, Neelam, Kesari, Gola, Lalbagh, Lambori, Rataul, and Alphonso.
