Surat (Gujarat) [India]: Seema Kalavadia, known fashion designer from the city and founder of SIMS DESIGNER STUDIO, showcased her collection- “The Indianness” at a special show “MERAKI-2022” organised by INIFD, Surat.
As the show was organized on the theme of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, Seema Kalavadia’s collection ‘The Indianness’ was inspired from the fact that the independence is the state of being free. She said “It is about being yourself and your individualistic spirit that should reflect through the way you choose to dress not only on the Independence Day but all other days of the year. We believe that Independence is not a genre or an act; it is a feeling and way of being true to yourself.” This collection inspires and proudly conveys the message of ‘Drape your independence through your own style of dressing’.
Easy and Fluid silhouettes such as draped gowns in colours of saffron, green, and white were showcased. Seema’s collection was one of a kind, the colours and the choice of silhouettes truly reflected the sense of freedom. She added “as our Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that this Independence Day, the tricolour and the sense of freedom must there in each and everyone’s spirit and home, we made sure the same spirit is portrayed phenomenally through this collection”
The showstopper of the show was Gujarati movie actress Khushi Shah who walked the ramp with style and grace.
