Sight For All Foundation Hosts Cultural Fundraiser in New Delhi to Combat Preventable Blindness

New Delhi [India]: Sight For All Foundation (SFAF) organized a memorable cultural evening in New Delhi, bringing together art, music and social commitment to highlight the urgent need to eliminate preventable blindness in India.

The program began with an engaging Art Exhibition that showcased creativity aligned with the cause of vision care. The ceremonial lighting of the lamp marked the formal inauguration of the evening, symbolizing hope and enlightenment.

The cultural segment featured soulful music performances, followed by thematic dance presentations and the powerful “Dance of Shiva,” captivating the audience and reinforcing the message of light over darkness. Artists were felicitated for their contribution to the cause, and the evening concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks delivered jointly by Vrindan Foundation and Sight For All Foundation.

The Guest of Honor, Guru Malti Shyam, a renowned and revered Indian classical Kathak exponent associated with Sangeet Natak Akademi, Delhi Kathak Kendra, graced the occasion and appreciated the foundation’s commitment to combining music with social responsibility.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Sanjiv Gupta, Founder & CEO of Sight For All Foundation and i Care Centre , New Delhi, emphasized the transformative impact of timely eye care interventions.

He highlighted the foundation’s work through key milestones:

– 9,119 people screened through community initiatives

– 88 free outreach eye screening camps conducted

– 2,270 free medicines distributed

– 981 free cataract surgeries completed

– Over 11,399 lives impacted through comprehensive eye care support

“A cataract surgery takes just 15 minutes, but the return on investment is a lifetime. It restores vision, livelihood and self-respect. Our mission is to ensure that no one is denied the right to sight because of poverty or circumstance,” said Dr. Gupta.

Sight For All Foundation continues to work toward bridging the gap between medical excellence and accessibility, ensuring equitable and affordable eye care services for underprivileged and marginalized communities.
