The Science of Stars: Sikh Practitioner Acharya Satvinder’s Take on Astrology

Mohali, Punjab (India), November 20, 2024: In December 2023, a fresh perspective on astrology came to be when Acharya Satvinder established his consultancy. He challenged the long-held beliefs about the connection between astrology and religion. With 15 years of dedicated research behind him, Acharya Satvinder brings forth a vision: astrology as a pure science.

As a devout Sikh practitioner with a liberal mindset, Acharya Satvinder stands out in India’s astrological market. His approach departs from traditional interpretations, presenting astrology as an independent scientific discipline rather than a religious practice. “Astrology is a science of celestial bodies. Any religious framework does not bind it,” he often emphasises in his teachings.

His journey into public consciousness began through various YouTube podcasts, where his rational approach and clear explanations caught listeners’ attention. The positive response led him to establish professional consultation services, where he implemented his scientific methodology. What sets his practice apart is the complete absence of superstitious remedies that often cloud astrological consultations.

In just one year of professional practice, Acharya Satvinder has created a strong impact, helping over one million people view astrology through a new lens. His modern interpretation resonates particularly well with the younger generation, who appreciate his practical approach and scientific reasoning. By bridging spiritual wisdom and scientific understanding, he has created what he calls ‘spiritual astrology’.

Currently, Acharya Satvinder is working on three books that will document his research findings and perspective. These upcoming publications intend to present astrology as a logical system of knowledge rather than a set of superstitious beliefs. His work actively challenges the notion that astrology belongs exclusively to Hindu traditions, arguing instead that the science of celestial bodies belongs to all humanity.

“The misrepresentation of astrology stems from certain practitioners who have exploited it for personal gain,” he explains. He addresses how commercial interests have often overshadowed the scientific aspects of this ancient knowledge system. His purpose goes beyond providing consultations; he’s working to reform public perception of astrology and establish it as a credible field of study.
