What made you establish RD Investment?
I felt that in my hometown Vyara, people were obsessed with bigger cities like Surat and Ahmedabad. There was a perception that all quality services or products are available in bigger cities only. To break this notion and give quality and professional investment services in Vyara itself, I started RD Investments. Now we are serving clients from all over the country as well NRIs residing outside India. We are into all kind of insurances (term insurance, mediclaim and other 3rd party insurance), stock broking, mutual funds distribution & income tax consultancy.
What is the USP of RD Investment?
RD Investment’s USP is defined by its tagline – ‘Your trust is our profit’. We live that line everyday and ensure that every client’s trust is always with us. We study client’s objectives of investments and chose investment tools accordingly. We avoid taking any client’s account unless we are mutually clear on client’s investment budget, purpose and time frame (short term/long term).
What is your mantra for investment?
I always compare financial needs to basic needs defined since decades – Roti, Kapda aur Makan. Roti symbolizes basic necessities i.e. basic term insurance. Term insurance should be only of earning member of the family. Kapda symbolizes second stage of security i.e. medical insurance which can prevent hard earned savings to get utilized in medical expenses. Medical insurance should be for all family members. Makan symbolizes anyone’s ambitions or dreams. Here saving part finishes and investment part starts. For that purpose I suggest Mutual Funds as an optima product to achieve your ambitions and goals.
What is your advice to investors?
With emergence of digitalization and social media, people believe on financial tips received via search engines or social media forwards. I advise them to get in-depth knowledge about this field or hire a professional who is capable to plan investments correctly. If we can approach professionals like doctors & lawyers for professional advice, why not approach financial experts for correct advice? We always propagate ‘Ek saarthi zaruri hai’, which means to plan your investments, you should have a guide.
What is your vision for future of RD Investment?
In future I want to promote term insurance, mediclaim and SIP. We are running a campaign ‘Har ghar SIP wala’ to ensure every household invests in SIP as per their capacity and future objectives. I believe whether you have kids or not, you should grow a kid in form of SIP that takes care of your retirement.
